This is the coolest helmet I've ever seen!
I argued with my husband about which Storm Trooper to paint on this goalie mask... I wanted the older ones with the blue on the cheek, but nope Hubs said do the new ones..... So this is a little abstract, but it still turned out totally badass! Ok, so I told y'all I am slightly obsessed with Star Wars! Lucky for me, so are my nieces & nephews, so I got to make them these custom painted TOMS shoes for Christmas.
They absolutely loved them, & I am kinda sort of considering making a pair of the Han/ Chewie ones for myself... yes, I am aware that I am an adult lol! These ones also include Iron Man, Hello Kitty, & Elsa & Anna from Frozen. Painting TOMS are one of my favourite things to do, I can do pretty much any image or character ...not to toot my own horn, but this is my site after all ;) So as some of you may know, my husband & I recently took a trip to my favourite State, Georgia, & to Florida at the end of the summer. It was amazing! {you know, considering I met Luke Bryan & all!} But of course, I just had to go in style, & by style I mean monograms, Lilly Pulitzer, & of course some little personalized nerd things for myself... take a look! *any of these can be recreated or done in any colour, size, pattern, just shoot me a message if you'd like to order custom painted shoes or Minnie ears! These two ears are featured in Lilly Pulitzer inspired Jellies on the left, & First Impressions on the right these were our Disney MagicBands! They are the most wonderful invention, ever. Allowing us to just tap & go at the parks, purchasing food, gifts, our FastPass. So naturally, I made tiny Disney inspired monograms for us! Matt's is a Mickey R2-D2 & mine is Minnie with a Lilly First Impressions bow! I painted these Toms style shoes & slip on shoes for my trips to both Magic Kingdom & Hollywood Studios. On the let is Elsa & Anna Frozen inspired shoes,
& on the right are Star Wars inspired C3PO & R2-D2! People literally stopped me to ask where I got them hahah! No one could believe I painted them! There is a beautiful Country song by Lee Brice, called "Love Like Crazy" I just love the lyrics. You see, Country music is more than just singing about trucks & tailgating... Country music taught me how a man should treat a woman, & how the simple things in life are the most amazing. I made this sign out of a wooden pallet, & now it is a daily reminder, & it's up in the centre of our family room :) *click on the images for a larger view Here is the video for the song that inspired this pallet sign. Just listen to the words, I guarantee you'll love this song! Lee Brice - "Love Like Crazy" ...I showed up in boots! & unless you're God or Luke Bryan - take off your boots! I just LOVE this wooden, hand-painted sign I made for my front hallway! *click the images for a bigger view
Who doesn't love slip-on shoes?! They are cute, comfy, & if you buy specific brands then you can give back to different charities around the world - an awesome cause if I do say so myself! For this DIY I used just a pair I found at Wal-Mart, but I'll most definitely be doing a different variety of these again on a more popular, durable brand! These are super cute & are completely customizable as well. I've seen baby shoes done in monograms & a variety of different patterns! - SO cute!!! Naturally, I did mine in my favourite Lilly pattern, First Impression! I can't wait 'til Spring or Summer to wear 'em! Over the summer I had some extra time on my hands in-between vacationing in The Bahamas & at the cottage. Painting is one of my favourite past times, so I threw together a few of my favourite Lilly prints on some canvas to hang up in my Craft Room. I've also had requests to paint some prints for friends. I can definitely do that for you too if you're interested. I can also paint on any wooden or canvas surface. -k |
